While this product maintains the ISA (PC/ATbus) form factor, and softwarecompatibility with the earlier Models 10092 and 10097, the 10111 includeson-board FIFO and incorporates the enhanced DMA modes of the EISA bussuch as DMA Mode B, tri-state capable DMA and interrupt logic (allowingchannel/level sharing), and level mode interrupts. The 10111 can useeither 8 or 16-bit DMA channels, and accommodate odd byte count transfersper bus request. Bus-to-FIFO transfer rates are 4M byte/second for EISAapplications and 1.5 byte/second for ISA applications. FIFO-to-plottertransfer rate is 1.5M byte/second maximum. Byte swapping may be selectedfor word DMA transfers.The 10111 allows conection of any Versatec "Green Sheet" (VPI) compatibleplotter or printer with either TTL or differential (Long-lines)interface, as well as an Centronics-compatible device. Various specialCentronics variations are also provided via socketed input terminators(with spare networks mounted on the board) to allow the matching ofdevice manufacturers' preferred terminations. Special handshaking andtiming options are on-board for use with some higher performanceCentronics devices, such as Tektronix "data streaming" mode for theircolor copiers.PROM-resident test patterns, which can be custom tailored for variousplotters/systems, can be accessed via a pair of board-mounted toggleswitches and used to exercise the attached device without CPU or softwareintervention. A SOLARIS-on-Intel software driver for both SOLARIS(R) 1.Xand 2.X is provided with the board. Source code is included at no charge,software drivers for Hewlett-Packard 9 and Silicon Graphics Indigo 2machines are also available on request at no charge. A Hardware/Softwaremanual is also provided with each unit. The boards carry a full one-yearwarranty.Units are available from shelf stock. Single-piece pricings is $575, withOEM discounts available.
